Divinyls Announce 2019 National Tour Featuring New Lineup

Legendary Aussie band Divinyls are finally taking their massive songs back on the road for a national tour in 2019, following the death of lead singer Chrissy Amphlett back in 2013.

Founding member, guitarist and co-songwriter Mark McEntee is leading the tour around the country, and has recruited some fine replacements who might just do the late Amphlett justice.

Joining McEntee is LA-based singer-songwriter Lauren Ruth Ward and original Blondie guitarist Frank Infante, with a whole new rhythm section to help breathe new life into the band’s timeless discography.

“I’m not trying to replace Chrissy, but I really want to play the songs we wrote together,” McEntee told Channel 7.

“It’s not a sad thing, it’s a celebration, not a tribute.”

This marks the first time the band has reunited since their one-off performance with The Preatures lead singer Isabella Manfredi back in late 2017.
